Angel Garza Explains Why He Opted To Re-Sign With WWE

Angel Garza recently shared in an exchange with fans on social media why he opted to re-sign with WWE, over betting on himself and trying to wrestle elsewhere. According to Garza, if he was wrestling outside of WWE right now, he’d be maxing “1/10 of the money.”
Los Garza wrestled last Friday on WWE SmackDown, losing to Damian Priest and R-Truth in a tag team bout. A day later, Angel Garza commented on Los Garza’s resilience. He wrote, “No matter what happens, we keep fighting. Because that’s the legacy Los Garza were built on. #Smackdown #LosGarza @wwe @TKOGrp @USANetwork”
An X user wrote, “Say it louder for the people in the back.” Garza then replied, “Support us louder.” A fan then wrote to Garza, “You need to find something that the crowd will care about, no idea what it could be, maybe a sound, a few words, a taunt, something that will generate interest from that tough American crowd, and once you got that everything will work well.”
Garza responded, “That’s either the give you a cool (the music) or have constant time on tv to be able to have that connection.” Another fan then replied on X, “Why’d you re-sign then? Y’all could be tearing it up in Arena Mexico.” Angel Garza later wrote, “But making 1/10 of the money… because life isn’t just about wrestling. I’m a man, a father, and I’ll fight for my family’s future no matter what. 👊”
In 2024, Garza announced that he had signed a new three-year contract with WWE. You can view Garza’s comments below:
