Anthony Bowens is set to unleash a new submission move on his opponents at the AEW Double or Nothing 2026.
Bowens, who recently joined The Opps, will compete in the “Buy In” portion of Double or Nothing tomorrow night. He will team with HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata to take on The Death Riders’ Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Daniel Garcia in a Trios match.
Speaking to PWInsider Elite ahead of the PPV, Bowens expressed his excitement about the same. He also revealed his inspiration behind the new unnamed submission maneuver.
Here’s what Anthony Bowens said:
“I’m very excited to be using a new submission. I haven’t named it yet. It’s an ode to a man that you’re very familiar with, too, from our WrestlePro days, Mario Bokara. That was a move that was passed down from Santino Marella to him, and I am using that now as a tribute to Mario because Mario’s a guy who played a big role in my development. I would love to get in a position to do that and rip some Death Riders’ arms off this Sunday and again take home a W in front of 14,000 people.”
AEW Double or Nothing 2026 will emanate from a sold-out Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York, tomorrow night.
411Mania, as usual, will have live coverage of the event.
