Ashton Smith and Oliver Carter Vacate WWE NXT UK Tag Team Titles Due to Injury, New Champions Crowned

– On today’s edition of WWE NXT UK, Ashton Smith and Oliver Carter were forced to vacate their NXT UK Tag Team Titles due to an injury for Ashton Smith. Smith ruptured a medial cruciate ligament, and it requires surgery. They were previously scheduled to defend the titles on today’s show against Joe Briggs and Brooks Jensen.
As a result, NXT UK booked an elimination match for the vacant titles featuring the teams of Briggs & Jensen, Mark Andrews & Wild Boar, Dave Mastiff & Jack Starz, and Die Familie (the team of Teoman and Rohan Raja). That match was won by Briggs & Jensen, who became the new champions.
