Backstage Note on Injury Status of Adam Cole

During the latest Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp answered a fan question regarding AEW’s Adam Cole, who has been sidelined due to injury since last year. Sapp noted that there aren’t any plans for Cole to wrestle that he’s heard of, and there haven’t been any discussions of him traveling with AEW or doing anything on the road.
Sapp added that Cole appears to be in the same boat he was in July, when he announced that he was relinquishing the AEW TNT Title at All In Texas. Sapp also noted that Khan loves Cole and wants to keep him on board as part of the AEW team.
As noted, it was reported following AEW All In Texas that Cole was dealing with concussion issues. However, that was not confirmed by Cole or AEW. Last month, AEW’s Matt Jackson offered an update on Adam Cole in Being the Elite, stating that he believes Cole is “improving” every day.
On behalf of 411, we send our best wishes to Cole in his continued recovery process.
