Matt Jackson offered a semi-update on Adam Cole, noting that the out-of-action AEW star is “getting better.” As you probably know, the former TNT Champion relinquished his title at All In: Texas in July of last year and said he was going away due to health issues. It was later reported that Cole is dealing with concussion issues, though neither Cole or AEW have confirmed that at this time.
Jackson offered a minor update on Cole during the Q&A portion of this week’s Being the Elite. Jackson answered a question from a fan about Cole and professed his love for Cole while noting that he believes Cole is “improving” every day.
“I love Adam Cole so much,” Jackson said per Wrestling Inc). “He is the sweetest man I think I’ve ever met, not in the business, but in life. And I think every day he’s improving and he’s getting better.”
He continued, “And this actually — thanks for bringing this up, because I actually need to text him right now and check on him. Because I miss him so much, and I think he’s one of the most talented, gifted, charismatic wrestlers that ever was, and a much better human being. Shout out to Adam Cole, we all talk about you all the time in the locker room.”
There is no word on when or if Cole may be able to return to AEW TV. He has yet to appear since All In: Texas.
On behalf of 411, our best wishes to Cole in his continued recovery process.
