Backstage Rumor on WWE Planning First NXT 2.0 TakeOver Event for December

– According to a report by Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston, WWE is tentatively planning Sunday, December 5 for the first NXT 2.0 edition of NXT TakeOver. It’s not yet confirmed if WWE will continue using TakeOver as the name of the events.
WWE did hold a special-themed event for NXT 2.0 last week, though it was Halloween Havoc. The last NXT TakeOver event before the NXT 2.0 rebranding was NXT TakeOver 36 last August.
Tentative date for the first NXT 2.0 Takeover is Sunday, December 5, according to multiple sources. Have asked but couldn’t confirm if “Takeover” will continue to be the brand name.
