CW Anderson Praises MLW’s Hybrid Style, Says Court Bauer ‘Has A Knack’ For It
CW Anderson is a fam of how MLW mixes styles together, calling it a strength of Court Bauer’s skillset. MLW has featured a hybrid style of wrestling, and Anderson spoke about that aspect of the company in his interview with Fightful.
“It’s like the MLW from when I started back when Court started running in early 2000, the hybrid wrestling,” Anderson said. “You had the Japanese guys, you got the great young talent. You know, back then you had the Paul London’s and CM Punk’s who hadn’t really had made an indie name for themselves, but not a big name. Now you got young, great talent with BRG and Brock and Alex Kane and Mr. Thomas, those guys, and the Japanese legends with Kojima and Okamura and Suzuki, and you got Tom Lawler, the guy, the UFC guy that’s made such a great transition to professional wrestling. I told him last time I saw him, I said, ‘Dude, you have become a great professional wrestler. You are a complete worker.’ Tom’s really good.”
Anderson continued, “It’s a hybrid. It’s one of those things that Jack Victory told me a long time ago, ‘When you go to a show, if you can give a wrestling fan every little bit from old school to new school to hardcore to lucha’ and they got great lucha guys to it Mystico, ‘And the Japanese guys, if you give a wrestling fan every little bit of that, you have a complete show and you’ve satisfied most of your wrestling fans.’ That’s what MLW does and that’s what Court from the beginning, and even till now, he just has a knack for it.”
Anderson is currently teaming with Brock Anderson and is part of the “Rogue Horsemen” alongside Brock, Bobby Fish, and Brett Ryan Gosselin in MLW.
