A new report has details on the possible location for the upcoming new AEW Redemption PPV. As previously reported, AEW is planning to host the new PPV brand this summer, specifically in July. Details on the exact date or location aren’t yet confirmed, but Fightful Select has spoken with sources who have given details on the expected host city.
According to the report, Canada was rumored within the company in recent weeks and sources indicated that Montreal was the heavy favorite. The report makes clear that things are not yet confirmed, though an announcement is expected to happen in the weeks to come.
AEW has not yet officially announced the name as a new PPV as of yet. If it happens in July as reported, the PPV would take place between AEW x NPW Forbidden Door, which is set for June 28th in San Jose, California, and AEW All In: London on August 30th.
AEW filed a trademark on April 13th for “Redemption” and “AEW Redemption.”
