More Details on WWE Offering Contracts to UK Talent
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Toni Storm will be working the June UK shows at Royal Albert Hall. The feeling is that she is signed with WWE, The company reportedly offered 20 contracts in a way to lock up talent away from the ITV World of Sport project. Joe Coffey, Zack Gibson, Dave Mastiff (who was the top heel on the ITV pilot episode), El Ligero, Travis Banks, Chris Brookes, Jinny, Kenny Williams, Flash Morgan Webster and Eddie Dennis were all offered deals. Joe Coffey, Zack Gibson, Dave Mastiff, & Kenny Williams are all part of this year’s tournament and have signed. The contracts all have terms where WWE have the right to break the contracts at both the four-month and the eight-month mark; this seems to indicate that WWE is uncertain or not fully committed to plans for the UK brand.
