EVIL has arrived in WWE NXT, appearing on this week’s show and sending a message to Tony D’Angelo. Tuesday night’s episode saw the NXT Champion come out for a promo and talk about the “WAR” message that he received on last week’s show.

D’Angelo spoke about the changes in NXT and how he’s been a constant there. He noted that there was no one tough enough to kick him off the mountain, not even the person who sent him the box last week. He said he wanted to know who sent it.

That caused the lights to go out and EVIL came down to the ring in a hooded outfit. He handed D’Angelo a shirt with the kanji for “war” on it and took off the hood to reveal himself. He was not given a name, though he was acknowledged by Vic Joseph as the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion. Joseph also said that he didn’t “know if that was a gift of pure admiration, or a gift of pure evil.”

As D’Angelo was focused on EVIL, Tavion Heights slid into the ring and hit a belly-to-belly suplex. He shouted that he was taking what he deserved and left the ring before another individual — labeled as a possible “fan” by Joseph — came through the crowd and nailed D’Angelo with a moonsault. The “fan” appears to be Will Kroos, a regular of the UK scene who has appeared for PROGRESS and RevPro. You can see highlights below.

EVIL was reported has having signed with WWE late last week.
