Finn Balor vs. CM Punk Set for WWE World Heavyweight Title on 1/19 RAW

Finn Balor has set up a major match against CM Punk with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line. The confrontation unfolded on tonight’s episode of WWE RAW, shaping the road ahead for the red brand.

Punk opened the show tonight, outlining his vision as champion. He spoke about holding the title deep into the year and framed the Road to WrestleMania as running directly through him. He referenced upcoming stops at the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber, presenting himself as a constant obstacle everyone must overcome. His momentum was interrupted when Balor’s music hit.

Balor quickly reminded Punk that his name had come up during his first championship promo earlier. Rather than wait in line, he wanted the match now. He dismissed the need for premium live events to earn a shot.

Punk questioned Balor’s inactivity and took a jab at his association with Judgment Day. He even suggested fans might not see the “real” version of Balor anymore. He pushed for an immediate match tonight. However, Finn Balor declined and pointed to January 19, when RAW heads to Belfast, Ireland.

The announcement locked in WWE’s Ireland debut and guaranteed Bálor a home-country title match. With hometown support and a world title at stake, the crowd is expected to be electric. Punk’s control over RAW will be tested early as Finn Balor now stands directly in his way.

Things are heating up! 😲
