FOX Sports Hypes WWE SmackDown’s Rise in Numbers

– As noted, last week’s edition of WWE SmackDown at Madison Square Garden, featuring an appearance by Brock Lesnar, drew 2.383 million viewers and a 0.65 rating in the key P18-49 demo. That was the highest viewership for the show since last January 22. FOX Sports put out a press release, showcasing the show’s numbers and momentum, which you can see below.

As noted by the press release from FOX Sports, the audience for last Friday’s show saw an 11 percent increase over the average viewership for SmackDown in the month of September 2020, which was 2.155 million viewers.

– Friday’s broadcast was the most-watched edition of SMACKDOWN since Jan. 22, 2021, and was up +11% over September 2020’s average viewership (2,155,000)

– SMACKDOWN was the most-watched telecast of the day in the coveted A18-49 demographic

– Richmond (4.2/8)
– Memphis (3.7/7)
– Tulsa (3.7/7)
– Louisville (3.5/7)

Additionally, it was reported that optimism backstage in WWE was very high following last week’s SmackDown, which was a change from the usual attitude behind the scenes following TV events.
