Hot Topic WWE Shirt With Titus O’Neil As Test Misprint Reportedly Sold Well

Hot Topic recently sold a shirt with a misprint listing Titus O’Neil as Test, and the shirt sold pretty well according to a new report. As was noted on Reddit, the T-Shirt was a vintage-style for the 2001 Royal Rumble and featured a number of stars. Most prominent were Kane and Steve Austin, but the shirt also featured Triple H, The Undertaker, Trish Stratus, Chyna, The Rock and others.
In a rather glaring error, the late Andrew Martin (aka Test) was given a spot but the picture actually showed O’Neil. The shirt went viral online and was pulled offline. You can see the image of the shirt below, per WrestleVotes.
However, the latest Fightful Select Answers Q&A noted that the shirt sold pretty well before it was yanked. In response to a question from a fan who got their shirt, Sean Ross Sapp noted that he spoke with a contact who said that Hot Topic sold “quite a few” because of the error. It was noted that there were many “double orders” which means that people ordered two, which is usually done so there’s one to wear and one to keep wrapped or sell.
Titus O’Neil hasn’t wrestled since 2020 but remains with WWE as a Global Ambassador. He said in late November 2024 that he was too busy with upcoming film and TV projects to focus on a potential in-ring return.
This is too good not to share. An officially licensed WWE shirt honoring the 2001 Royal Rumble is being sold at Hot Topic… featuring Titus O’Neil as Test. pic.twitter.com/4E3xCVUO7R
