On the latest episode of What’s Your Story? With Stephanie McMahon, Je’Von Evans talked about the help Jacob Fatu gave him when he reached WWE’s main roster. Evans made his main roster debut on WWE Raw in January.
Evans also shared the moment that made him want to become a wrestler: watching Triple H give someone a Pedigree through a table. You can check out his comments below:
On Jacob Fatu:
“He’s somebody who helped me, especially when I first got up there, because we have a similar background when it comes to wrestling. We both came from the indies, so we know the grind. I think we met on the indies once and other than that, it was just us watching each other’s matches. We were big fans of each other. I was a big fan of Jacob and now, to see how he is, where he’s at and what position he’s in, it’s great. It’s just so cool to see.”
On Knowing He Wanted To Wrestle:
“Honestly, I feel like it’s a feeling. You just know. Like, ‘All right, this is what I want to do.'”
On the Moment That Made Him Want To Wrestle:
“From the jump. There was a moment I’ll always remember, and it was seeing — dang, what’s his name? I think his name’s Triple H, or some guy like that. He gave somebody a Pedigree through a table. And I remember seeing that and thinking, ‘Oh, this is what I want to do.’ And ever since then, it’s just been a grind for me.”
