Joe Hendry Says His Album Happened ‘Very Organically,’ When It Was Written

Joe Hendry says his new album is something that happened in an organic while talking about when it all came together. The WWE star’s LP Beyond Belief released on Monday with 11 tracks and is available on Spotify and other platforms.

The album has some of his on-screen WWE TV songs like “Fire Logan Paul,” and he spoke on My Mom’s Basement With Robbie Fox about how it all came together. He noted that his song mocking the Miz in December kicked it off and most of the songs were written around that time period. You can see highlights below:

On How the Album Came About:

“So, it happened very organically, actually. Because I do — you know, I’ll often do songs on TV. We did a song for The Miz at Christmas time to make fun of him. And then it was like, ‘Hey, we’re going to put this song out. Why don’t we do an EP, do a couple more?’ Started doing a couple more songs. And this was like just before — no, it was just after The Miz. So this was sort of a couple days before Christmas.

“So I wrote it in about three, four days. We just kept adding songs. ‘Well, we got six or seven. Let’s just do the whole album.’ So we wrote everything except ‘Fire Logan Paul.’ We wrote that that came around, I wrote that one in April before my debut. So all of it I wrote all of it in December except that one song. But that one had to go on it, you know.”

On His Past Album Work:

“Yeah, I just decided, like before I came to WWE, I just put out some of the old — I put out a record that my old band did, I just uploaded it there. And then I had a compilation of songs that I did in [when] I was in TNA Wrestling before. So I uploaded them to Spotify. But this is like the first sort of big production album. So yeah, super excited for it. It’s been an amazing process. Learned a lot. And I’m excited, man.”
