Joe Hendry Captures NXT Championship In Ladder Match On WWE NXT

Joe Hendry is your new NXT Champion, winning the title in a ladder match on this week’s episode of WWE NXT. Tuesday night’s show was main evented by a seven-man ladder match to determine the new champion. Ricky Saints, Hendry, Dion Lennox, Jackson Drake, Sean Legacy, Keanu Carver, and Shiloh Hill all battled for the top men’s title on the brand in a 22 and a half minute bout that saw some wild spots and high risk maneuvers.

As the match came to a close, Carver speared Legacy through the podium wall at ringside and then went after Saints who was on the ladder. Saints was able to shove Carver’s ladder over, sending him through the announce table on the outside. Saints took a moment to showboat as Hendry came back into it, and they ended up on top of the ladder together. Saints came off his ladder and Hendry kicked him off the title, then pulled the title belt down to claim the win. You can see vacated it in his move to the main roster after the January 6th episode of NXT.
