Former WWE Champion John Cena is set to wrestle his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C., on December 13.

The Last Real Champion recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he revealed that he plans to spend quality time with the people he loves after his retirement match and is hoping to wake up “hungover” the following day.

“That night, I’m going to spend a lot of time with the folks I love, who I connect strongly with. The next day, I hope to wake up hungover,” Cena said.

Elsewhere in the show, John Cena reiterated that he would stick to his words of not wrestling again following his farewell match on December 13.

“This has really never been done in WWE history. WWE superstars don’t necessarily ‘retire;’ they kind of hang on for one more match. I am absolutely 100% done. The 13th of December on Peacock is my last in-ring performance. I will never wrestle again.”

Cena’s final opponent has yet to be determined. This past Monday on WWE RAW, Gunther and LA Knight advanced to the final by beating Solo Sikoa and Jey Uso, respectively. They will now battle to earn the right to face Cena in his farewell match this Friday on SmackDown.
