Hey kids! Steve Cook here with you for the latest episode of WWE Raw on Netflix! Raw is in Paris, France this week, which means we’re here much earlier than usual. There will be a couple of Fatal Fourways involving the King & Queen of the Ring tournaments and a couple of Intercontinental Championship matches. It should be a good time, though I doubt it’ll be as fun as my trip to Paris was in the summer of 2001! Yup, we got that class trip in right before 9/11, so traveling wasn’t nearly as awful as it’s been in the twenty-five years since then. Yes, I’m really old. What about it?

Don’t forget to subscribe to the 411Mania Wrestling Newsletter! Click here to do so, and then every Tuesday you’ll get some exclusive insight from your humble Chef on everything you need to know about the latest and greatest pro wrestling happenings! I guarantee it’ll be a good time, so make sure you check it out.

If you’d like to chime in with your own thoughts on tonight’s show, feel free to join your fellow 411 Maniacs down in the comment section! As the legendary Larry Csonka always said: Have fun and don’t be a dick. When I’m not here you can catch me on social media from time to time. To be honest, e-mail is a better option and you can reach me at [email protected]. I’ll be more likely to respond there.

Then. Now. Forever. Together!

We see the Eiffel Tower, then some fans barking outside the arena before the crane shot inside. Penta is STRUTTING! Rey Mysterio is WALKING DOWN STEPS WITH DRAGON LEE! Sol Ruca is WALKING! Alexa Bliss is DRINKING COFFEE! Je’Von Evans is RUBBING HIS HANDS TOGETHER!

We see clips from last week’s tournament matches. Thanks to Thomas Hall for filling in again while I was busy getting a crown. No, not one of the crowns the wrestlers on this show want to get.

The green lights hit, and the fans bark & chant Oba Femi’s name. Oba struts on down to the ring past the crowns. We see a split screen of fans chanting and strutting. Oba will face Dirty Dominik Mysterio next Monday on Raw in the KOTR semi-finals. Who did Dom piss off? Oba says the fans are wonderful. He’d like to do this all night, but they have things to attend to. After some more chanting & barking the fans finally get it out of their system. Oba & Paul Heyman agree on one thing, they both believe in spoilers, not predictions. Oba has a spoiler, he will run through every single man in the KOTR tournament and he will destroy the last one at Night of Champions. He will be the new King of the Ring, it’s a spoiler. The Ruler needs a crown in order to be the Ruler. There is one trophy he’s yet to collect: the head of Brock Lesnar. Brock disappeared after getting even, he cheated and attacked when Oba wasn’t looking. The only thing he’s seen in the last three weeks is a big bad bitch. Brock can’t stay away forever, Oba will settle the score when he sees him.

Dominik Mysterio’s music hits! The AAA Mega Champion takes the stage and the fans boo. Dom says that Oba doesn’t rule anybody. Oba should be worried about Dirty Dom, not Brock. Dom asks the rookie how long he’s been here. Oba can’t hear him over the fans chanting and barking. Dom is a 20 year veteran of this game! He’s the King of the Luchadores, and once he’s King of the Ring he will rule over Oba. Dom suggests Oba make it easy for himself, bend the knee and respect the stache.

JD McDonagh sneaks in the ring and hits Oba in the back with a chair. Oba no-sells and punches the chair into JD’s face. Dom hits a 619, goes for the frog splash and gets tossed around instead. JD pulls Dom out of the ring before Oba can inflict some punishment. Oba says that we all know that Rey is Dom’s father, but next week Oba will introduce him to his daddy.

Michael Cole & Corey Graves are at ringside, and they introduce the French announcers. Last week, Seth Rollins got the win over Bron Breakker after Bron speared Heyman through the barricade, then speared a chair Rollins was holding in front of his chest.

JACKIE REDMOND is with Seth Rollins and wants to know if he’s done with the Vision. The fans sing Rollins’ song and Rollins welcomes them to Monday Night Rollins. Time is a flat circle, the last time he was in Paris he was the World Heavyweight Champion and leader of the Vision. The Vision is in the past, and the KOTR is the future. He’ll win that and take back the World Championship he never lost. That means he has a date somewhere down the line with Roman Reigns. Roman can’t seem to win his titles on his own or beat Seth when it matters most. The championship was made by Seth and belongs to him.

Queen of the Ring Qualifier Fatal Fourway: Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Chelsea Green: Talk about a stacked qualifying match! Everybody here has held multiple championships. Liv ducks outside, Chelsea & Alexa both strike Becky, then Becky kicks Alexa down. Chelsea with a kick in the corner, she gets sent to the apron and knocked down. Alexa with a dropkick to Becky. Becky evades Alexa, Alexa evades Liv and knocks her to the floor. Becky with a baseball slide to Liv, then a cannonball. Dive to the floor by Chelsea, Becky knocks her off the ringpost as we go to commercial.

When we return, Alexa is taking out Liv & Becky with shoulderblocks, dragon screw to Liv. Chelsea joins Alexa for some offense before turning on her with a big boot. Chelsea misses Liv in the corner, Liv with a shot to Chelsea, Alexa strikes Liv down. Becky goes for the slam on Alexa, Alexa blocks and Chelsea hits a missile dropkick. Alexa DDTs Chelsea for two. Becky cuts Alexa off on the turnbuckle. Chelsea yanks Becky down to the mat & joins Alexa up top, they clubber each other. Liv powerbombs Chelsea out of the corner. Alexa breaks the count with Twisted Bliss, Becky breaks up that count. Becky punches away on Alexa & Liv. She tosses Liv & Chelsea out of the ring. Alexa with a kick to Becky, Alexa blocks the Manhandle slam and covers Becky for two. Alexa with a blockbuster, she blocks Oblivion and hits Sister Abagail on Liv for two! Becky with a Manhandle slam on Alexa for two! Chelsea with an Unprettiher on Becky! Liv rolls Chelsea up out of that and gets the three count!

Winner: Liv Morgan (6:22 shown via pinfall)

Liv tells us she’s the greatest women’s champion of all time.

Cole & Graves plug TripleMania before throwing it to a video package for tonight’s Penta/Rey Mysterio match. Rey inspired Penta. Rey is impressed with how fast Penta rose to the top. Penta says this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and he won’t let it go. Rey says it’s an honor to face Penta. Tonight they’ll make history!

Penta is warming up when Chad Gable appears. Chad says he’ll keep this short, Fenix said some stuff last week that got him thinking. Chad went nuts last year because he lost to Penta in Penta’s debut last year. He took the loss like a coward, and now he looks Penta in the eye and apologizes to him. Penta loves everything about lucha libre. If Chad wants to do right by lucha libre, he knows who he needs to talk to. Chad knows, and exits.

Sunday Night’s Main Event comes to Atlanta on September 6th. The original date of Money in the Bank. How about that?

Seth & Montez Ford embrace backstage. Montez wishes Seth good luck. Seth thanks him for last week and asks how Dawkins is doing. The Usos & Jacob Fatu appear. Jey suggests that Seth be careful when talking about Roman, he’s in the tournament now and is going to beat Cody. Seth congratulates Jey for being in the tournament and mocks Big Jim for not being in it, instead being on the sidelines where Roman wants him. Seth never talks about Roman’s family, he just talks about Roman. He thought the Usos were better than doing Roman’s business, but maybe being bag boys for Roman is the best they can ever do. Jey tells Jacob to get Seth, Jacob stares Seth down and walks off.

Cole & Graves talk about how Jacob acknowledged Roman but still isn’t doing the Usos’ business. They throw to a video package for tonight’s match between Sol Ruca & Lyra Valkyria. Lyra was the first IC champion and wants to be champion again.

Bayley scares Lyra, but is excited for her. Lyra hasn’t had gold in over a year, but tonight’s the night. Bayley hypes her up, and also smacks her in the back of the head. Bayley’s very excitable.

Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Sol Ruca (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria: Alicia Taylor provides the special in-ring introductions. Sol with a headlock takeover. Lyra bridges over, controls Sol’s arm. Sol cartwheels and slams Lyra over, working her arm. Lyra rolls over, kicks Sol and both kip up. Lyra flips out of a suplex attempt, then springboard arm drags Sol. Sol gets the advantage again, cartwheels exchanged, Sol hits an X-Factor for two. Sol kicks Lyra onto the apron, Lyra lifts Sol up, Sol kicks her on the apron, springboards into Lyra, Lyra lifts her and tosses her over the top rope. We go to commercial!

We return to a double clothesline and both wrestlers going down. Strikes are exchanged as they get back to their feet. Running elbows by Sol. German suplex out of the corner by Sol, she hits a missile dropkick off the middle rope. Running knee strike gets two for Sol. Lyra kicks Sol on a springboard attempt, then legdrops the back of her neck. Spinning heel kick gets two for Lyra. Sol flips out of a tornado DDT, Lyra blocks an X Factor and kicks Sol. Nightwing attempt goes nowhere, Lyra blocks the Sol Snatcher. Lyra gets a nearfall for two. Lyra gets caught up in the ropes, which allows Sol to hit the Snatcher for three!

Winner: Sol Ruca (7:04 shown via pinfall)

They couldn’t have found a wider shot for that replay. Cole & Graves let us see Jacob acknowledge Roman Reigns again.

Jey is unhappy with Jacob not having his back against Seth earlier. Jimmy says he’s supposed to run the play they call. Jacob says he didn’t acknowledge Jimmy or Jey, he acknowledged the OTC Roman. Jacob says they should be worrying about LA Knight, he’s probably out there now talking about the family while they’re back here doing nothing. Jey storms off before Jimmy turns to talk to him.

LA Knight is WALKING! We’ll hear from him (probably about the family) next.

LA Knight’s music hits and he comes down to the ring, YEAH. He’ll be in a fourway with Jey, Royce Keys & Finn Balor on Friday night. LA catches the microphone on the second attempt. Let him talk to ya. LA talks about Friday’s match. He would usually talk about how he’ll go through all of them and face Roman for the World Championship. He’s not mad at the fans for chanting for Roman. Roman’s conned them and pulled the wool over their eyes. Roman’s empire is on the verge of crumbling, he’s keeping everybody trapped in the Bloodline vortex. Somebody will help Jey on Friday night. Jimmy & Jey warned him not to talk about the Bloodline, but he doesn’t take orders from Roman. He’s the chief in this neighborhood. All the Bloodline members will come down during his eventual night with Roman. Everyone will come down, and Adam Pearce will put the stamp on it. He’s not saying Pearce in their pocket, but there’s a big difference in the way he talks to Knight & Roman. Knight may be unchosen, but the fans chose him. He chose himself, he’ll do it his way and get the job done. He doesn’t know how to stop. He wishes everyone luck on Friday, he wishes Jey so much luck that he can do it on his own without calling his whole family to ringside.

Jey Uso’s music hits and Jey makes his way to the ring. The fans yeet, Jey hears them eventually. He’s now in their city! The fans want another yeet, and Jey runs it back. LA cuts it off and wants to know why Jey’s down here. Jey always answers when his family calls for him. He needs LA to stay in his lane. Jey doesn’t need any luck, he’s still the arena shaker & Main Event Jey. He’ll show LA just who he is on Friday night, and this is his warning shot. Jey leaves the ring. LA thinks Jey has him wrong. He respects the fact that Jey is protective of his family. That’s how everyone should be. He wishes Jey luck, and then says “screw your family”! Jey takes his shirt off and walks back down towards the ring, Jimmy comes from the back to keep Jey from going further.

Chad Gable walks up to Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee. Dragon says he’s cool, he knows that Chad’s sorry. Rey says Chad needs to stop beating himself up. He knows Chad understands the lucha culture now. At one point he did want to knock Chad’s head off his shoulders. The mask vs. mask match was true lucha libre. Rey accepts Chad’s apology. Rey suggests that Chad look back a little further, because he did some things that he might regret way before he put on the El Grande Americano mask. The Chad Gable journey goes from forgiveness to self-forgiveness, we’re getting pretty deep here.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Penta (c) vs. Rey Mysterio: The fans are a little hyped for this one! Rey with a quick armdrag, Penta with a rana. Rey with a headscissors, kicks Penta into the ropes, Penta launches him to the apron, slides under, Rey hits the springboard moonsault to the floor! We go to commercial.

When we return Penta kicks Rey down to the mat. Penta kicks Rey on a handstand, does one of his own and basement dropkicks Rey. Rey goes outside, Penta joins him with a dive. Penta motions for the Destroyer but runs into a knee. Penta hits a backstabber out of the corner for two. Penta chops Rey on the ropes. Rey hits a tornado DDT for two. Rey goes for the sunset flip powerbomb, Penta reverses, Rey kicks him on the floor, then slides into a sunset flip into the barricade! We go to commercial.

We return, Penta goes for his Driver but Rey blocks. Penta with a kick, and there’s the Penta Driver for two. Rey hits a Poison Rana, then a 619 to Penta! Rey drops the dime and only gets two! Penta’s yelling at Rey after a replay! Strikes exchanged. Rey blocks another Penta Driver and hits another 619! Rey up top, Penta gets the knees up! Mexican Destroyer! That ends things in favor of the champion.

Winner: Penta (7:21 shown via pinfall)

Penta & Rey embrace afterward, only to be attacked by Ethan Page & Rusev! Penta gets Machka kicked, then Rusev locks the Accolade on Rey until Dragon Lee runs down. Lee goes right after Page, Page gets knocked into Rusev before getting sent over the top rope. Rusev gets kicked off the apron. Page trips Lee up and throws him into the timekeeper’s area. Page motions for Rusev to take Rey’s mask off, and he does! Rusev holds the mask up while Penta covers Rey’s face. Chad Gable runs down! Suplexes to Rusev & Page! Chad puts the ankle lock on Page, Rusev drags Page out of the ring.

Chad looks at Rey’s mask on the mat while Penta & Dragon attend to Rey. Chad picks up the mask and hands it to Penta so they can put it back on Rey. After the mask is put back on everyone shows acknowledgement.

Raquel Rodriguez talks about IYO SKY standing in her way of winning the Queen of the Ring tournament. She won last time, and this time will be no different. Raquel will take Rhea Ripley’s championship at SummerSlam, Rhea will need a shoulder to cry on afterwards.

Talla Tonga is preparing for his Fourway match later tonight.

IYO SKY was entrusted with the women’s division by Asuka. Raquel has no honor or heart. Everything she does is to protect Liv. Liv will unburden Raquel of that responsibility and end her run in the tournament. She’ll put Judgment Day in their place, and become something Raquel has never been: a world champion.

Next week in Baltimore: IYO vs. Raquel! Roman Reigns! Oba vs. Dom!

Roxanne wants to talk to Liv about how she was right, she was thinking about herself instead of the bigger picture. She wants one of them to win because a win for one is a win for all. If Liv & Raquel face each other, they can’t lose! Dom & JD come in still all winded & hurt by Oba, Liv says she has a plan for next week. They leave, and Roxanne says she’ll catch up with them later.

King of the Ring Qualifier Fatal Fourway: Seth Rollins vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Talla Tonga vs. Ricky Saints: Ricky knocks Seth out of the ring right away, then joins him there. Evans goes for the cutter, Talla catches him and shoulderblocks him down. Seth back in the ring to face off with Talla. Talla no-sells Seth’s chops, then runs him over. Evans goes after Talla, he & Seth both punch away. Double superkicks, they try to knock Talla out of the ring, but Ricky breaks it up and Talla elbows Evans down. Talla slams Evans, then Ricky holds Seth for a big chop. Evans is held for a big chop. Ricky & Talla high five, then Talla boots Ricky down. Talla presses Evans and tosses him over the top rope onto Ricky & Seth. We go to commercial!

Talla dominates as we return. Well, until Ricky slips out and sends him into the ringpost. Seth hits a tope suicida on Talla. Ricky sends Talla into the post as Seth yells to take his ass out. Talla gets dove on by Evans! Ricky & Seth exchange punches in the ring. Rollins with clotheslines, then a running knee strike. Falcon Arrow! Evans breaks up the Pedigree attempt with a Red Dot on Seth for two. Evans springboards into a kick by Seth, Evans blocks the Pedigree, then tries to get bouncy. Seth catches him and tries to Buckle Bomb him, but Evans sends Seth into the corner with a rana instead. Ricky hits the Revolution DDT on Evans for two. Ricky goes up top, Evans springs up tries to join him, misses the first time but gets back up there for the Spanish Fly. Seth hits the Pedigree on Evans, Talla breaks it up. Talla charges Seth and goes over the top rope. Saints dumps Seth over the top rope, then Evans sends Ricky outside, then joins them with the Outside Dive! Ricky crotches Evans up top, follows him up. Seth joins them, Talla joins in for the ol’ Tower of Doom, but Evans lands on his feet! Evans runs into a discus lariat by Talla for two. Talla sends Seth to the floor and clears the English announce table. Evans gets caught by Talla and chokeslammed on the French announce table. Talla gets stomped by Seth on the table, then on the floor! Saints blocks the first stomp, but not the second! Austin Theory drags the referee out of the ring before he can count three! Montez Ford is out to attack Theory and they brawl through the crowd. Bron Breakker appears and spears Seth! Ricky crawls over, but it’s Evans who cuts him off with an OG Cutter! Evans moves on to the semifinal!

Winner: Je’Von Evans (12:44 shown via pinfall)

Evans will face the winner of Friday’s Fatal Fourway in the semifinals. He celebrates while Bron & Seth exchange glares. Evans tells us he’s going to win the tournament as our live event comes to an end. So long for now!
