Everyone assumed that when Austin Creed and Kofi left WWE, they’d wind up in AEW, but that was entirely dependent on Tony Khan. Would he embrace the team now known as The New Level? Quite literally, it turns out.
Speaking with TMZ Sports, Kofi described what Tony Khan was like in person at All In after their match.
“Tony has been amazing the entire time,” he said. “So enthusiastic and so passionate, and you know, it really, like, when they talk about the energy starts up at the top, he has so much energy and so much passion throughout the entire duration of the show. He’s jumping out of his seat, you know, he’s really getting into all the matches with super excitement, you know, big hugs.”
“And it feels good to be able to deliver for someone like that, you know, for him to believe in us enough to to bring us aboard and be a part of something special they built over here. To be able to like let him know that he made the right decision. It’s good, it feels great. It feels validating in a lot of different ways. And it feels like we’re doing exactly what we’re supposed to do.”
