Latest On New Day Potentially Going To AEW

The New Day are set to be free agents this summer following their WWE exit, and a new report has details on their potentially going to AEW. As previously noted, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston exited WWE at the start of the month when they were asked to restructure their contracts. They are already announced for GalaxyCon to take place later this month and will be going by Austin Creed and Kofi.
A new report Fightful Select notes that Creed and Kofi are already set for more as-yet-unannounced convention dates. The two are expected to be big draws on the convention circuit.
It was noted that with AEW, which is obviously where they are speculated to land, over a dozen sources were unanimous in wanting the two in the company. The site notes that in most situations there will typically at least be one person who disagrees with the notion of talent coming in, but that in this case everyone has been on board with the notion.
The report goes further to state that several big names have been pushing hard for the two to end up in AEW. Kofi and Creed are universally respected talents across every promotion, and everyone expects them to land in AEW.
To be clear, the report does not say that the New Day duo have been in talks with AEW, only that everyone expects them to land there.
