Layla Diggs Reveals She’s Dealing With an Arm Injury

WWE Superstar Layla Diggs has provided an update on her current medical status after being pulled from a scheduled match on this week’s NXT. As noted previously, Layla was scheduled to challenge Zaria for the NXT Women’s North American Championship on last night’s NXT. However, a day before the show, General Manager Robert Stone revealed that Diggs was not medically cleared to compete.

On Tuesday night, Layla Diggs took to social media to reveal that she’s currently dealing with an injured left arm, as she posted a picture of herself in a sling. She vowed to be a champion once she recovers from the setback and thanked fans for their love.

Layla Diggs defeated Izzi Dame, Lizzy Rain, and Thea Hail in a Fatal Four-Way to secure a shot at Zaria’s title on the June 30 episode of NXT.

As a result of Diggs’ unfortunate injury, Zaria ended up defending the Women’s North American Championship against Dame, Rain, and EVOLVE Women’s Champion Nikkita Lyons in a Fatal Four-Way Match. The Australian powerhouse ultimately retained her gold by securing a pinfall over Lyons following a Spear and an F-5.
