Mercedes Martinez is looking to get help for her ACL surgery, and she has given an update on the matter via social media. As noted, Martinez announced in August that she was cutting her final tour short and retiring from the ring after suffering a torn ACL.
Martinez is crowndfunding for help in paying for the ACL surgery. She posted to her Twitter account to give an udpate, noting that she has scheduled the surgery after she raised enough for the deposit but hasn’t yet gotten the surgery fully covered.
She wrote:
“Good news! ACL surgery is 10/15.
Enough to cover deposit, but not quite at full surgery cost.
1 month to go & [praying] to get the surgery fully paid.
TY for every donation/share. Truly humbled & grateful.
Goal 1: Surgery
Goal 2: Rehab

The GoFundMe is seeking $25,000, and as of this writing has raised $9,835. Martinez is an alumni of WWE, ROH/AEW, TNA, SHIMMER and more, and had a run as the ROH Women’s World Champion in 2022 before losing the title to current champion Athena.
