Mikey Rukus Wants to Do More AEW Concerts, Is Working On Music For Console Game

AEW music producer Mikey Rukus is hoping to do more AEW concerts, and revealed he’s working on music for the AEW console game. During his conversation with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Rukus discussed wanting to do another concert similar to the one that took place before AEW Revolution. You can see some highlights below:

On possibly doing more AEW concerts: “We had some talks yesterday, some brief discussions back and forth about Double or Nothing. I definitely want to expand on what we did last night. We had a very quick build-up for this one, so hopefully, we can get in front of it and make it more interactive. Not just for the fans, but with the talent involved as well. I don’t want to go too deep into it ‘cause I have to present the plan after today. But if it flies, it’s gonna be pretty wild. It’s gonna be pretty wild.”.

Mikey is also working on the AEW console video game. He says he has been working on the music for the game since June of last year and revealed some details regarding a career mode and original theme songs in the game for created wrestlers

On doing music for the AEW console game: “I’ve been working on the video game music since June of last year. It’s been a long process. We’re gonna have the entire AEW music library in the game. I have a load of original create-a-wrestler themes within the video game. There’s other stuff that’s tied to storied content within the career mode. I can’t go too much deeper into that. But there’s a lot to work with there. I wanted to make sure people had a great audio experience with it. I’m still, even though we had a hard deadline of two weeks ago to have everything in, I’m still getting little bits and pieces of things they’re adding to the game. So they’ll hit me up and they’re in Japan, so I get the e-mail in the middle of the night. So it’s like, ‘Alright. I’m going upstairs and work on this.’ But it’s really cool. It’s something I’ve wanted to get into for a really long, long time. The video game industry is really tough to find a doorway in. But again, with AEW, they gave me the opportunity with not only the mobile game but now the console game as well.”
