MJF Announces AEW World Title Defense Against Alec Price at Limitless Wrestling’s Limitless Rumble

Who says Maxwell Jacob Friedman isn’t a defending champion? In an announcement on social media earlier today, AEW World Champion MJF revealed that he will be putting his title on the line against indie wrestler Alec Price on January 16 at Limitless Wrestling Presents: The Limitless Rumble.

MJF noted that Price reminds him of “a young MJF.” He adds in the video, “Alec Price, fame comes with a price. Will you rise to the occasion? If I hold onto my Triple B until my return to Limitless Wrestling, I will be putting it on the line against you. And let’s be honest, I ain’t losing this thing for a long, long time.”

After MJF issued the challenge, Alec Price responded via his own social media. He wrote, “Don’t underestimate me…. I used to snatch chains off rich kids like you back in Eastie. Different city. Same rules.”

MJF just regained the title last weekend at AEW Worlds End 2025, pinning former champion Samoa Joe in a Fatal 4-Way bout. The match also featured Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland.

The Limitless Rumble takes place on Friday, January 16 at The Colisee in Lewiston, Maine.
