NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 Notes, Wrestlers Attending Hiroshi Tanahashi’s Retirement Ceremony

– As previously reported, AEW stars and former IWGP Heavyweight Champions Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay are attending NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 in honor of witnessing Hiroshi Tanahashi’s final match. Fightful Select reports that multiple wrestlers plan on attending the show for Tanahashi’s retirement ceremony in addition to Omega and Ospreay.
Omega previously faced Tanahashi IWGP Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 13 in 2019. Additionally, in regards to the event, Fightful also reports that most of the talent residing outside of Japan will be arriving to Tokyo around tomorrow (Jan. 2) for Wrestle Kingdom 20.
NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 takes place on Sunday (Jan. 4) at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. It will stream live on NJPW World.
