Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay will be on hand for Hiroshi Tanahashi’s retirement ceremony at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20. As reported earlier, several big names are scheduled to be in attendance to honor Tanahashi for his final match at Saturday’s event. NJPW announced on Tuesday night that Ospreay and Omega will be at the show.
The two will be attending a “retirement ceremony” for Tanahashi, who faces Kazuchika Okada in his last match at the show. After recounting both men’s history with Tanahashi, the announcement notes:
The two wrestlers will be returning to the New Japan mat to attend Tanahashi’s retirement ceremony. What kind of message will these two, who once fought fierce battles with Tanahashi, have to offer?
NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 takes place on January 4th in the Tokyo Dome and airs live on Wrestle Kingdom. 411 will have live coverage of the event, which starts at 2 AM ET and airs on NJPW World.
