NXT Championship Match Set For Tonight’s WWE NXT

Je’Von Evans will get his NXT Championship match on tonight’s episode of WWE NXT. Evans won the men’s Iron Survivor match at NXT Deadline to secure a title shot. It was announced on Tuesday’s show that Evans will challenge Oba Femi on tonight’s episode.

Femi opened the show to discuss his regaining the title from Ricky Saints at Deadline. He spoke about his match against Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event before Saints came down to the ring. Saints congratulated Femi but noted that they were 1 – 1 now, and he wanted his rematch.

Evans then came out and noted that he didn’t want to wait until NXT New Year’s Evil to make his challenge. He teased a title match tonight and the match was ultimately agreed to. You can see a clip from the segment below.

Evans and Femi are both scheduled for action at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Femi will battle Cody Rhodes, while Evans will team with Leon Slater against AJ Styles and Dragon Lee.
