First Two NXT vs. Main Roster Matches Set For WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

We have our first two main roster vs. NXT matches (more or less) for next weekend’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. As noted, John Cena announced last month that the December 13th show will feature NXT talent taking on main roster opponents in exhibition bouts before his last match. The first of those matches were announced on Friday night’s show.

In the first, Cody Rhodes revealed that he will be facing the NXT Champion at the show. Oba Femi is set to challenge Ricky Saints for the championship at NXT Deadline on Saturday. The winner of that match moves on to face Rhodes.

In the second match, Bayley is set to battle former NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca. Bayley and Ruca had a brief face-to-face in a backstage segment on the show.

The updated card for Saturday Night’s Main Event, which takes place from the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, is:

* John Cena’s Retirement Match: John Cena vs. Gunther.
* Exhibition Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Oba Femi OR Ricky Saints.
* Exhibition Match: Bayley vs. Sol Ruca.

Tomorrow night just got a whole lot bigger!
