Omos Reveals Whether He’ll Move to Mexico

The Nigerian Giant Omos has been having something of a career renaissance in AAA. Following a stint in Japan, he’s been praising Mexican fans and discovering that wrestling is a universal language wherever he goes. A recent feud with Rey Mysterio cemented his position in the main event, so now that he’s top of the roster, will he move to Mexico, or even get a place there?

Omos revealed his plans with the Complex Graps podcast, confirming that he still flies to all the tapings. As to getting a place south of the border, he said, “I would, but you know, as a married man and you know, my wife being based here, I don’t think that’s quite possible at this moment in time. But probably in the future, maybe something I would think about.”

He added, “It’s a beautiful place. It’s a very beautiful place.”

Omos also discussed how he meshes his big-man style with lucha libre, saying, “It’s not as difficult as you would think, because at the end of the day, wrestling is a universal language, and if you know how to wrestle you can wrestle pretty much [wrestle] anybody across the world, whether or not they speak English.”
