Persephone, More Set for CMLL Amazonas Universal Championship Tournament

CMLL announced the first participants for the 2026 Amazonas Universal Championship tournament. AEW star and reigning TBS Champion Persephone, who is contracted to both AEW and CMLL, is set to compete in the tournament. Here’s the announced list of competitors:

* Persephone
* Zeuxis
* Dark Silueta
* Reyna Isis
* Candela
* Sanley
* Olympia
* Hera
* Princesa Sugehit

The tournament is scheduled for Friday, October 2. Persephone was also recently in action last weekend at AEW All Out 2026. She defended her TBS Championship in an open challenge, which was answered by Dani Luna.

Persephone defeated Luna to retain her belt. The dual CMLL and AEW star is also scheduled to compete in the 2026 CMLL Women’s Gran Prix tournament. She also won last year’s edition of the tournament.
