Rey Fenix Retains AAA Cruiserweight Title Against El Hijo del Vikingo On WWE Smackdown

Rey Fenix put his AAA Cruiserweight Championship on the line against El Hijo del Vikingo on this week’s episode of WWE Smackdown. Friday night’s show featured a title match between Fenix and Vikingo, which went just under nine minutes
The match came to an end when Vikingo went up top for a springboard 450 splash, but Fenix moved. He took Vikingo out in the corner and then nailed the Mexican Muscle Buster to get the win and retain his title. You can see clips from the WWE Smackdown match below.
Rey Fenix is in the midst of his second reign as AAA World Cruiserweight Champion. His reign stands at 35 days, having won it from Laredo Kid at AAA Noche de Los Grandes on May 30th. He has defended the title four times since then .
Vikingo is currently out of action after suffering an injury before this week’s episode of WWE NXT. The severity of the injury and how long he may be out of action isn’t yet known.
