Rey Mysterio Teases the Arrival of Bad Bunny in Lucha Libre AAA

AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio teased the arrival of Bad Bunny in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide on tonight’s show. The July 4, 2026, episode of AAA kicked off with Mysterio introducing former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and current WWE Tag Team Champion Damian Priest to the AAA audience.

When Rey returned to commentary later in the show, Corey Graves and JBL asked him about the possibility of Bad Bunny arriving in the Mexican promotion. Mysterio said that he and the relevant authorities are currently working to make that happen. Here’s how the conversation went:

JBL: Now that we have Damian Priest, can we get Bad Bunny also in AAA?
Rey: We’re working on that as well.
JBL: Awesome! I remember when they had a football game right in the middle of his concert last year.

As fans are aware, Bad Bunny and Damian Priest have a history in WWE. Bunny made his pro wrestling debut at WrestleMania 37, teaming up with Priest to take on The Miz and John Morrison. In 2023, the two battled in a San Juan Street Fight at Backlash.
