Road Dogg Questions WWE Creative Team After Chelsea Green’s Interim WWE Women’s Championship Win

Tributes keep pouring in for Chelsea Green following her monumental triumph last night at SummerSlam 2026: Sunday. As noted, Green did the unthinkable last night, as she won the Fatal Five-Way Ladder Match to become the Interim WWE Women’s Champion. This is the first time that the Canadian has won a world title in WWE.

Shortly after her victory, tributes started to pour in for Green, including from former SmackDown co-lead writer Brian “Road Dogg” James. The former WWE creative team member not only congratulated Chelsea, but he also questioned why it took so long for the company to crown her. He claimed that “top guys’ vision” leads to the underutilization of certain talents. Here’s what Road Dogg wrote:

“SO CONGRATULATIONS, @ImChelseaGreen! The hard part for me is, WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG FOR OTHERS TO SEE! ‘top guys vision’ leaves a lot of talent underutilized. Not a knock, just the truth. Truth…… there’s another one. #WWESummerSlam2026, #OUDK, #LISTENUP!”

Meanwhile, at the SummerSlam: Minnesota Night Two Post Show, Chelsea Green cheekily dedicated her victory to Michael Hayes. Check out her comments RIGHT HERE. You can check out Road Dogg’s post below:
