Chelsea Green has reached the top of the mountain, capturing the Interim WWE Women’s Championship at WWE SummerSlam night two. Sunday night’s PLE saw Green win a ladder match against Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, and Lash Legend in order to lay claim to the title.

The 13 minute match saw everyone get their moments, with Cargill and Flair continuing their feud in the match as Green and Stratton worked together as long as they could. Legend proved dominant herself at time, hitting some high impact moves.

The end of the match saw Stratton make her way up the ladder, but Green appeared in the ring. She looked apologetic before she shoved the ladder over and sent Stratton crashing into the others on the outside. Green set up the ladder and climbed, but B-Fab and Michin came out and attacked her, leaving her hung upside down with her knee caught in the rungs. They helped Cargill climb the ladder but Flair caught her, soon Stratton and Legend joined them. They all eventually fell down, and Green was able to recover and climb up the ladder to retrieve the title and win.

You can see clips from the match. This marks Green’s first main event-level women’s championship in WWE. She is a former two-time WWE Women’s United States Champion and a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. Rhea Ripley, the holder of the non-interim WWE Women’s Championship, is out of action due to injury.
