On the latest episode of 1 Of A Kind, Rob Van Dam talked about receipts in wrestling in the wake of the Raja Jackson incident and more. You can check out some highlights below:
Rob Van Dam on receipts in wrestling in wake of the Raja Jackson incident: “Yeah, I don’t think he knows what a receipt is. And I don’t think — you know, all the fans claim to know what a receipt is. But when you’re giving a receipt, the size of the receipt depends on how you’re feeling, you know what I mean? Like I said before, you can’t just go to Mike Tyson in the Walmart parking lot, smack him on top of the head. Are you expecting him to just do the same to you? ‘Boom, yeah. Now we’re even!’ No, boom boom boom, before you even know it. And he gets to decide the size of the receipt.
“Now, I don’t condone that [in the Raja Jackson incident], it was done later. I’ve already said that to death. If you still don’t get it that, you know, sorry about that.”
On his favorite promotions he’s worked with: “You know you would have to look at what perspective you’re going to take. ECW was by far the most fun. WWE, of course, was the biggest. You know, most money, biggest crowds worldwide, schedule, all that. And then TNA was my easiest. It was the least amount of work for the money. And I think those three are probably what they’re interested in. I mean, I worked for all Japan for several years, from what ’93 to ’99, actually. And you know, I enjoyed that one, but I was always homesick. I didn’t like being on the long tours. Didn’t like the food, but I like the matches and the bay.”
