WWE Undisputed Champion Sami Zayn might be the last real good guy in wrestling, but he could not overcome the Tribal Chief and OTC, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns. Reigns won their bout for the men’s Crown Jewel Championship at today’s premium live event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It was a grueling back-and-forth battle. Reigns kicked out of a Helluva Kick. Zayn kicked out of a spear from Reigns. Zayn even hit Reigns with a Superman Punch of his own and tried to hit Reigns with a spear as well. However, Reigns countered the maneuver.

Eventually, Reigns hit Zayn with another Spear. That was enough to secure the pinfall victory, making Reigns this year’s Men’s Crown Jewel Champion.

Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns Shockingly Embrace After the Match

After the match was over, Zayn proved his integrity. He demanded a handshake from Reigns. Reigns appeared conflicted and slow to respond. Zayn proclaimed that he took everything Reigns had and deserved a handshake.

Reigns answered Zayn and embraced his one-time brethren of The Bloodline. He told Zayn, “You’re not an honorary. You’re an Uso.” Reigns and Zayn shared a warm embrace, and for once, Reigns acknowledged Sami Zayn.

Zayn then raised Reigns hand, showing grace in defeat. He then accepted his WWE Championship from WWE executive Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who shook Zayn’s hand, before leaving the ring. There was no catch or other shoe that dropped. Zayn upheld the proverbial code of honor between champions and left to go to the back.

Triple H awarded Reigns, who celebrated with his title belts. Reigns then got on the microphone and told the crowd in Riyadh that there was only one thing left to do and asked for Saudi Arabia to acknowledge him. Reigns then celebrated with his belts as the show came to a close.
