Ruby Soho and Angelo Parker have opened up a board game cafe with a wrestling theme in Mishawaka, Indiana. The establishment, Victory Roll Cafe, shared a news story from ABC57 News about the store. You can see the story below.
Soho has been away from AEW TV since announcing she was pregnant in April of 2024. They welcomed their daughter in August of that year. She and Parker are both listed as on maternity leave in the news story.
The two spoke about the cafe, which caters to board games big and small and has a “Meeples Championship” which references the person-shaped tokens often used in modern board games. You can see some highlights below from their comments:
Parker on making the cafe wrestling-themed:
“I think wrestling afforded my wife and I a life and ability to go into something like this. And I think it would be a disservice not to pay homage to the thing that really helped us get here.”
Parker on the vibe of the store:
When you sit down here with your friends, your family. When you win, you get to rub it in a little bit. So the whole group gets to come out here, you get to take this beautiful championship, put it over your shoulder. You are now the Meeples champion, and you get to brag about your win. Take a picture with everything, and show how much you beat people.”
Soho on the ability to not be disturbed by others:
“If you don’t want to be disturbed, even if you’re not playing a game. If you’re in the middle of a paper, and you really need some focus? We have this red flag that lets us know that until we see that flag down we will not disturb you.”
