Stephen A. Smith says that, should he get into WWE, he would be able to become the “number one heel” with help from Paul Heyman. Smith made the comment during a segment on ESPN First Take featuring Seth Rollins. Rollins was there promoting WWE Backlash and during the segment, Shae Cornette asked Rollins who would be the bigger heel between Smith and Skip Bayless.
Rollins referenced the previous segment in which Bayless ranked LeBron James too low for his liking and picked Bayless. Smith, who has been interacting with Danhausen as of late, explained why he would be the top heel. You can see highlights below:
Rollins On Who Would Make a Better Heel Between Smith & Bayless:
“Oh my goodness. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place on that one. Oh man, if I had to pick — ooh baby. Based off that last segment alone, Skip’s my heel for life. He’s me heel for life, you know what I’m saying? You can’t be doing that to my boy LeBron. So I go — recency bias alone. I’ll go with Skip.”
Smith On His Potential As a Heel in WWE:
“I won’t argue with that. But I will say that through the guidance and the tutelage of the great Paul Heyman, I would ultimately be the number one heel. I think I would. I would outheel the heel. And I dress a lot better than Paul Heyman.”
