SummerSlam Stipulation Added To Tag Team Match At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

Sami Zayn and Gunther have a shot at being added to the WWE Undisputed Championship match for SummerSlam at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. It was announced in the opening segment of Friday night’s show that Zayn and Gunther will be part of the title match at SummerSlam if they can beat CM Punk and Cody Rhodes at tomorrow night’s Peacock special.

The stipulation was revealed by Adam Pearce as he was confronting Gunther, who was complaining about having to team with Zayn against Rhodes and Punk tomorrow. Pearce said that he would have fired Gunther for his attack on Nick Aldis, but that Aldis went to bat for the Career Killer. He said that Aldis was about to reveal the stipulation on last night’s WWE Smackdown before Gunther went on the attack.

Rhodes then came down to the ring to attack Gunther before getting a mic. He said that Gunther wouldn’t even make it to Saturday Night’s Main Event, which resulted in a singles match being set for tonight’s show.

Punk and Rhodes will face Gunther and Zayn in the main event of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which takes place tomorrow in Madison Square Garden in New York City. We’ll have an updated card after tonight’s show.
