Teddy Long Says He’d Love to Work With Oba Femi

He’s previously worked with one self-professed “Ruler” in Sid Vicious, but asked by TMZ who in WWE could benefit from Teddy Long as a manger today, Long had a pretty clear idea: the new Ruler, Oba Femi.
“I think I could help him. Oh, I would love that,” he said.
So what would he do? Firstly, he says, he’d listen. “I’d have to, you know, you have to get in and see which way they where they want to go with him. You know, what what is their idea, what they want to do, and then, if you can help them with it. Always learn this: whatever they want, they’re going to do it. They’re not going to take your idea and say it was you, because then that way they’ll have to give you credit for it. I’ve known that some ideas that were thrown around they didn’t do it right away but they did something that similar looked like it. You know what I mean?”
However, he did suggest how he might have booked the Oba-Brock Lesnar feud to date, and it wouldn’t have been with a false retirement. “If you’re going to come back, if you if you leave, you left Oba there, you know, you did a job for him. He’s winning the match. Okay, fine. You got him over. So you don’t have to retire to come back to beat him. You know what I mean?”
Here’s how Long would have done it: “I would have did it right there at the end. Maybe got up, congratulate him there, shook his hand and something. You know what I mean? Hey, but you’re Brock Lesnar. I mean, I would have shook his hand. Looked around, all right. And brother, I mean, but once he turned, I’d have dropped his ass. Now you let Brock beat the f*** out of him. I mean, whoop his ass. I mean, good. Don’t send nobody down…let Brock get about a minute on a good butt-kicking on him. Now, here you send the troops.”
