UPDATED: The Undertaker Removes References To WWE From Social Media

UPDATE: Following the earlier news regarding The Undertaker accepting booking dates and removing references to WWE on social media, The Undertaker’s first non-WWE appearance is set to take place on Sunday, April 28 at The For Love of Wrestling convention in Liverpool. Taker is set to appear alongside other WWE Hall of Famers and legends, including Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Booker T, Lita, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and other wrestling stars, such as Christian and Eric Bischoff. It appears this news was actually announced by the convention last month.

Following that, The Undertaker will be taking part of Inside The Ropes’ previously announced The Rise of the Taker tour, which is set for April 30-May 2 in the UK.

Also, Dave Meltzer wondered on a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio if The Undertaker would appear at WWE’s next event in Saudi Arabia, which is currently planned for May 3 (via WrestlingInc.com). That’s right up against the end of his Inside The Ropes tour. Another return to Saudi Arabia is also reportedly in the works for November 2019. WWE has not yet announced the May 3 date yet or the potential status of The Undertaker for that event.

ORIGINAL: In what could potentially be the precursor to a much bigger story, the Undertaker has removed all references to WWE from his social media accounts. In addition to that, he’s added a link to a website where he’s now accepting booking dates. This is typically what a talent does after they have left the company, but we should stress that neither WWE nor the Undertaker have announced anything like that.

Dave Meltzer expressed surprise to this on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio this morning (via Wrestling Inc), as it’s rare for Undertaker to promote his gimmick outside of WWE and to make public appearances.

This news follows a report from last month in which it was said that WWE’s plans for Wrestlemania did not feature the Phenom. Undertaker’s last Wrestlemania match was last year, where he quickly defeated John Cena in a squash. His last match, however, was at WWE Crown Jewel, a loss to Triple H and Shawn Michaels.
