Tiffany Stratton On Why She’s Excited For When She Eventually Turns Heel

Tiffany Stratton says that she’s getting better at blending herself into her character and is excited for her eventual heel turn. Stratton started her career in WWE NXT as a heel, an alignment she initially carried with her to the main roster. However, she began to take on more of a babyface role after she cashed in Money in the Bank on Nia Jax in January 2025 to win the WWE Women’s Championship. She solidified her babyface status when she retained the title against Charlotte Flair that year at WrestleMania.

Stratton touched on her character work during her interview on the Battleground Podcast. She that she initially just wanted to play a character and didn’t want to blend who she really is into the role, but it’s something she’d learned to appreciate. She also noted that she is excited for what her character will be like when she does eventually turn heel at some point. You can see the highlights below:

On the Advice She Didn’t Like But Has Learned To Appreciate:

“I hate these kinds of questions. I have to really go in my brain and remember. I just think like, finding a way to kind of just blend who you are in real life and the character you play. I felt like I always wanted to just play a character and not be anything like who I am in real life. And then slowly but surely, I kind of like realized, ‘Oh, people can connect more to something that feels a little bit more real.’ And I feel like wrestling slowly has become that in the past couple of years, where people aren’t really playing characters anymore. It’s just kind of um an extended version of themselves on steroids.”

On How She’s Used That Advice:

“I wouldn’t say like that was a hard pill for me to swallow; I think I’ve just realized it more and more. And I’ve gotten better at kind of blending my two, the Jessica and the Tiffany. And I feel like once I turn heel, it’s going to be like me on steroids, and it’s going to be so much it’s going to be different. And I’m excited.”
