TNA Wrestling has rewarded two people involved in the main event of Friday’s Sacrifice event.
As noted previously, the match between Mike Santana and Steve Maclin for the TNA World Championship was abruptly stopped after Maclin got knocked out by a Superkick. Referee Alice Lane decided to stop the match and has now been rewarded for her swift course of action.
TNA President Carlos Silva acknowledged her and Eddie Edwards’ efforts (more on that below) ahead of the upcoming TV tapings earlier today. Lane expressed her gratitude toward the company for recognizing her effort and giving her the All Star Award.
Silva then brought up Eddie Edwards, lauding him for stepping up in a big way by coming out and giving fans something by engaging in an unplanned brawl with Mike Santana. After accepting the All Star Award, Edwards said that he was doing his job, adding that what they do every week is a team effort.
Meanwhile, PWInsider provided an update on Steve Maclin’s status following the events on Friday night. You can check that out HERE.
