TNA Reportedly In Talks To Bring Back Trey Miguel Following AEW Exit

Trey Miguel may not be out of work for long, as he’s reportedly in talks with TNA following his quick exit from AEW. As has been reported heavily over the past week, Miguel was let go from AEW after he signed there along with the rest of the Rascalz. The decision to release Miguel reportedly came from a level above AEW, and were reportedly due to his past comment in 2020 on Facebook, a homophobic clapback against an online troll.

The decision to release Miguel caused frustration inside of AEW, who felt like there was a double standard being applied considering problematic or controversial statements made by several stars and talent under contract to other WBD shows. Miguel announced after his release that he was taking a hiatus from wrestling.

That said, Fightful Select reports that TNA is in talks to bring Miguel back to the company. Miguel was at one point the sole member of the Rascalz in TNA back when Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz went to WWE. Miguel received a singles push in TNA and had a run as TNA X-Division Champion.

It’s not clear when or if Miguel will return to TNA, just that he has been in talks with the company. TNA Impact airs tonight live on AMC, AMC+, and TNA+ from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
