Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones, the former NFL star who had a run in TNA, was arrested on Monday morning after an incident at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. ESPN reports that police responded to a report of an “unruly passenger” this morning at 6 AM local time and Jones was arrested. He was booked on misdemeanor counts of alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct and terroristic threatening.

Jones was booked at Boone County Jail and later release. The report notes that the airport spokesperson confirmed that Jones was arrested before takeoff and taken to the detention center.

The report notes that Jones told WKRC-TV after being released that he asked to be moved to another seat, as the phone charger for the two seats he’d purchased wasn’t working. He said he was told that they would have to turn the plane around. Jones “vehemently” denied being intoxicated denied that he made terroristic threats. He told WLWT-TV after leaving the jail, “”I’m hurt, this is embarrassing.”

Jones came into TNA during a period where he was suspended from NFL competition for a year, and won the TNA World Tag Team Championships with Ron Killings. The Tennessee Titans issued a restraining order to prevent him from working for TNA as he was under contract to them, and an agreement was worked out where he would not take any physical hits. Xavier Woods (then working in TNA as Consequences Creeed) became part of the team.
