– During today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reports that TNA Wrestling “wants” to air live weekly for Impact. Apparently, the idea is for TNA to go live and have a homebase location, similar to NXT with Full Sail University or the WWE Performance Center (aka the Capitol Wrestling Center).

Additionally, Meltzer stated that Full Sail University, one of the old host venues for NXT’s weekly show, is one of the locations TNA has talked about using to go live every week. Also, this idea was reportedly being explored before Scott D’Amore was ousted from the company. D’Amore, Anthem VP of Marketing Lou D’Angeli, and Ed Nordholm already went to Full Sail to scout the location for the live weekly plans.

Part of the mentality would be saving money by having Full Sail students work on the live shows for experience to cut costs. Even though D’Amore is no longer with the company, Full Sail University is said to still be one of the shows TNA is discussing for the move to live television broadcasts.

Meltzer also reported that that the idea when D’Amore was still with the company was to have some test runs toward the end of the year, with the show going fully live every week by 2025. Meltzer noted that the idea may or may not be delayed, and some talents already know about the plans.

TNA has not yet announced plans to take Impact live every week.
