Tomoaki Honma Announces That He Underwent Successful Elbow Surgery
NJPW wrestler Tomoaki Honma announced earlier this week that he was undergoing elbow surgery. He later announced yesterday via social media that his surgery was a success.
Tomoaki Honma wrote on Tuesday, “I was admitted to the hospital today. I’ll have surgery tomorrow. It’s the elbow, not the neck. Let’s meet again when I’m back to full strength.”
The wrestler later wrote yesterday (Oct. 21), “Good morning🌈 The surgery was successful. I want to get better and meet everyone. Let’s do our best today too. Hooray.”
As previously reported, the 49-year-old NJPW veteran announced in July that he plans to retire next year (2027). Honma is a former IWGP Tag Team Champion, having held the belts with Togi Makabe.
