AEW Revolution did very well at the box office, selling out the crypto.com Arena with over 12,000 fans. AEW has seen plenty of success in Los Angeles during its existence, running the KIA Forum several times including drawing over 13,000 for Full Gear 2023. Many AEW talents have extensive history competing in Los Angeles in front of smaller crowds. While WWE still draws bigger crowds when they come to LA, Tony Khan’s promotion has certainly found its own home there.

Some fans & media members still basking in the afterglow of AEW Revolution were thinking big about AEW’s future during the post-show scrum. Tony Khan was asked about the idea of AEW running SoFi Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams & Chargers. It’s a venue Tony’s familiar with, and here’s what he had to say:

“I thought about it before. I think it’s interesting. I think it’s a very interesting idea. It’s not crazy at all. I don’t think that’s a crazy thought. When you saw all the star power and it gets your brain firing off and it makes you think and there were so many great wrestlers wrestling tonight. There were so many great returns and arrivals and all the moments and it’s not crazy.”

SoFi Stadium is listed as holding 70,000 fans. WWE drew over 67,000 for each night of WrestleMania 39. AEW did draw more than 70,000 to Wembley Stadium in London for AEW’s first show there.
