Trick Williams vs. Baron Corbin Will Face Off in Steel Cage Match for US Title on This Week’s WWE SmackDown

The feud between Trick Williams and Baron Corbin over the WWE United States Championship is about to escalate. In a new video released by WWE, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis announced that Trick Williams will defend Baron Corbin in a rematch for the belt. However, the rematch will take place inside a Steel Cage (see below).

As previously reported, Corbin recently warned Williams that they’re “far from finished.” Corbin added, “Understand something, Trick. You can run all you want, but all roads lead to me.”

Per WWE.com, “The two Superstars have engaged in a nasty rivalry since Corbin’s shocking return, setting the stage for several physical altercations, as well as Corbin capturing the title at SummerSlam and Williams winning it back at Sunday Night’s Main Event.”

The rubber match is set for this week’s WWE SmackDown on Friday, Sept. 25. The show is being held at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana and airs live on USA Network in the US and on Netflix internationally, starting at 8:00 pm ET. Here’s the updated lineup:

* WWE United States Championship Steel Cage Match: Trick Williams (c) vs. Baron Corbin
* Men’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Finn Balor vs. CM Punk vs. Gunther
* Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Giulia vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Lash Legend
