WWE Chief Creative Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque wrote an opinion piece for the Fox News website, explaining how United States President Donald Trump brought him on board to help revive the Presidential Fitness Test. As previously noted, Triple H visited the White House last year when President Trump revived the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition.
Triple H was named as one of the council’s members, which was first started by President Dwight D. Eisenhower seventy years ago. The WWE Hall of Famer wrote about childhood obesity rates increasing 270% and how the council intends to “work with schools and communities across the country to encourage Americans of every generation to be healthier, stronger and more active in their daily lives.”
Triple H also writes in the editorial, “Now I’m not suggesting that you become a WWE Superstar or even an athlete. You do you. Just understand that a fitness regimen — doesn’t have to be clanking weights in a gym — will help you get there. And I’m imploring you, and your kids, to start right now.” He continued, “It will make you all better, sharper, healthier.”
The former WWE Champion added on the issues children are facing with obesity, diets, and lack of physical activity, “Bottom line: We’re allowing our kids to eat super-sized portions of ultra-processed food, and spend too much time on their butts, looking at screens. Kids don’t play outside anymore. Schools rarely instill the lifestyle practices to live healthy lives — exercise, proper nutrition and the inclination to challenge oneself.”
Triple also noted, “It’s why those of us at the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition are so committed to reversing this calamity and revolutionizing Americans’ health and fitness, especially for the next generation.”
He ended the op-ed, evoking one of his classic WWE catchphrases, writing, “A physical fitness regimen changes you as a person. It changes the trajectory of your life. So, I’m asking, on behalf of the president: are you ready?”
Triple H Is a Longtime Supporter of President Donald Trump
The former wrestler has publicly expressed his support for Donald Trump during both of his presidencies. When Trump took office for the first time in early 2017, he attended President Trump’s inauguration along with his wife, Stephanie McMahon.
President Trump signed the executive order to reestablish the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition and revive the Presidential Fitness Test in September 2025. The Fitness Test will be administered by President Trump’s health secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who will also develop a criteria for a Presidential Fitness Award.
